As a high-end luxury green home builder in the Vancouver and Camas area, Glavin Homes wanted to update their website to reflect their decades of expertise. A new warm color palette and simplifying their existing logo helped to create this new bold, but elegant look.

As part of PacTrust’s brand refresh, the stationery system was designed to reflect their new design. The bold colors in the business cards tie in perfectly with the new website, collateral and leasing signage.

The client wanted to pay tribute to the small suburb movie theaters and video stores from his childhood that instilled his passion and love for movies. Going for a nostalgic look, the design has the feeling of a neon sign, but in the most minimal way. The color variations in the underline allow for different logos to be used while still maintaining the same overall feel.
This project included a VIP invite along with a local program guide that was given to attendees of the tournament. One of Umpqua Bank’s objectives was to stand out with a unique and special feel, so the design was based off of a large, bold circle wrapper that was folded over square invites. It was all enclosed with a simple logo circle sticker—the green shapes merged to create the shape of a golf tee. The simple dot design was meant to be reminiscent of the indentations on a golf ball, and worked well with the abstract golfer/trees illustration that helped to give it a Central Oregon feel. Without being too cliché, this unified Umpqua’s bold branding with a subtle and sophisticated golf theme.
Studio One was looking to update their logo after a building remodel, both to reflect the new modern interior and to attract a new and younger clientele. This logo was a simple solution that did just that. The mark was created to unify the two sides of the business with the water droplet—an integral element they both have in common. The droplet creates a yin yang, two parts that work as one.
Mason Williams is a new construction 76-unit mixed-use building at the vibrant corner of North Williams Avenue and Mason Street— a unique urban habitat featuring green rooftops, sustainable materials, efficient amenities and ample bicycle parking. The logo gives a nod to Portland’s many bicyclists with the circular chain shape and a pop of bright blue. The website carries on this same theme, along with lots of lively photography.

Sara was looking for updated business cards and was open to design ideas. The idea of multiple business cards was not trendy at that time, but it allowed her to showcase her photography style for different clients. This simple solution allowed her to stand out by being “unique, contempary, and fun” and still remains on trend more than ten years later.
This responsive web design was one of my most favorite projects to work on. Based off of a card design for inspiration, the information is organized for maximum usability. The calming and sophisticated color palette is in sync with the company’s personality, while the graphics add structure, interest and uniqueness.

These were designed to be displayed in-store as a grouping. Each brochure had unique illustrations and layouts, but with a similar and cohesive feel.
Marathon was looking for a responsive web design that could be used for both their urban and suburban communities. The design was a simple, but bold look with a focus on photography. Each community had a specific color palette and a specialized point of interest map.

In addition to creating collateral and web templates for Marathon, these point of interest maps were created for both print and digital uses.

Wise Energy Co was a new startup that came to me with a rough logo sketch and some really great ideas—it was my job to bring my client’s vision to life. We created some fun pieces that grabbed the homeowner’s attention with it’s fun colors and quirky copy.
When shred4less first started, they wanted to stand out in an otherwise boring world of paper shredding and waste disposal. The branding needed to be fun, bold, and colorful, much like the personality of its owner Chad. The logo was designed with forward motion arrows, indicating the process of shredding and paper recycling. Simple and effective. That combined with bold graphics on the truck wraps, caught much attention.
Here are a few of the many logo I’ve created over the past few years. My moto is always “less is more”, but within that parameter I always internally ask—how can I make something that is unique to each client and will outlast current trends? So much goes into creating a logo, but the final product should be something that not only stands out, but feels really good to the client.
